West End Fire Co #1 was invited to Best Buy for National Day of Service and Rememberance. Special Service 57 was there and Engine 57-3 was brought up to Best Buy later in the day due to having another event also scheduled. It was a great to see the residents come out and look at what was on the Engine and Special Service. They have a better understanding for what we do.

Units were dispatched to fire alarm at Covco. Upon arrival the indicator trouble signal was flashing. Units waited on scene for a responder checked the building and found no issue.

The weekend that Hurricane Irene came through our area, our department had numerous calls of trees down, and a couple of pump details. We did the best job that we could to get to the residents in a timely manner.

Units were dispatched to fire alarm. Police department arrived on scene with nothing showing. Engine 57-3 and Assistant 57 arrived on the scene with no problem at the business.

Units were dispatched to a fire alarm at Finishmasters. Upon arrival FM 96 stated there was nothing showing. Chief 57 arrived on scene and was told that they were fumigating the building and the chemical is what set the alarm off. All units were ordered to reduce and hold per Chief 57.

Units were dispatched to assist station 69 on a house fire. Engine 57-3 was on the second alarm but was recalled due to it being a room and contents fire.

Units were dispatched to a vehicle accident off to the side of the road. 1 vehicle was reportedly on fire from the accident. Units assisted with debris and fluid control.
