Tuesday, December 6, 2011 11:32 am Engine 57-3 was dispatched to assist station 69 with a commercial building at Jack Cassidy's in the 900 block of High St in Pottstown. Units arrived on scene with smoke showing. Units assisted with extinguishing the fire and also assisted with overhaul.Units that responded: Engine 57-3, Chief 57, LT 57
Tuesday, December 6, 2011 00:11 am Crews from station 57 were dispatched at approximately 0010 hrs for a dwelling fire on East Vine street. Deputy 57 was first to arrive and advised smoke showing with the house evacuated. At that time, he added a ladder truck from station 69 (Phillies) as well as a RIT from station 69 (Goodwill) and established Vine Street command. Crews advanced hand-lines into the dwelling to find a fire in the basement. Due to the difficulty locating the fire, a second RIT was dispatched from Berks County station 49 (Amity). The quick actions of all involved confined the actual fire to a small area of the basement. Command was terminated and all units were clear of the scene by approximately 0200 hrs.Units that responded: Chief 57, Deputy 57, Assistant 57, Captain 57, Engine 57-3, Engine 57-1, Traffic 57, Ladder 69, Rescue 69, Battalion 69-1, Deputy 69-2, Berks County Rescue 49, Berks Assistant 49
